Once a month in her newsletter,
gives a writing prompt that she calls “The Hatchery.” When she began it a few months ago, I became determined to use her prompts as a way to let my imagination run free. This month's prompt is “afternoon nap.” A kid’s poem about my pug “Bruce Wayne” has been ruminating in my head for a while now. This prompt seemed perfect since my pug's favorite hobby is snuggling and sleeping. I hope you enjoy today’s light-hearted newsletter. This is pug.
He likes to snug.
All afternoon pug snugs,
and snugs,
and snugs.
Pug dug a snug.
Pug snugs on a rug.
Pug snugs with a hug.
Pug is smug while he snugs.
Extra Sauce:
Please don’t miss my recent post about my hysterectomy. I hope to encourage women to make their health a priority.
I just want to say that God is so good. He truly is a good father.
Mel, I love this so much! I see a children's book in you and Bruce's future!
I'm not sure whether the poem or the pug is cuter. But they certainly suit each other!
